About Buzz in Art Studios: My teaching space

As a kid I said I was going to be an art teacher.

It took me some time to return to my dream of teaching, but in 2019, I began offering encaustic workshops—and I haven’t looked back. In 2022, I invested in a space of my own: a dedicated teaching studio nestled in the countryside of Arnott, Wisconsin.

I’ve always loved old things with stories, so it feels fitting that Buzz in Art Studios is housed in a former 1930s tavern once known as Barney’s. With its rustic charm and rich history, it’s the perfect place to explore the ancient art of painting with beeswax.

Founded 2022

I opened my teaching space, Buzz in Art Studios, in 2022. I host monthly encaustic workshops and offer custom workshops and private lessons. This location is part of the Hidden Studios Art Tour October 3-5, 2025.
