If my scheduled monthly workshops do not work with your timeline, you can schedule a custom encaustic workshop. You pick your guests, the date & time, and what type of workshop your group would like. Full payment is required for custom workshop reservation. No refunds. Please review cancellation policy and workshop requirements.

Cost Breakdown for Four Hour Wax Workshop
Custom Workshops are for Four Hours.
- 3-5 Guests are $90 per person. (Same cost as monthly scheduled Wax Workshops)
- Private Lessons are available for one or two guests at $60 an hour.

INTRODUCTION TO ENCAUSTIC:
- A focus on representational painting.
- We are not all painting the same image. I encourage students to use their own images to work from.
- Students can also paint abstractly or use their own personal drawings.
- I am here to instruct on safety, proper technique, and help guests reach their workshop goals.

PAPER COLLAGE:
- Embedding different types of paper, fibers, and string into a wax surface.
- Coloring paper with encaustic paint.
- Using wax to adhere materials. Wax is a natural adhesive and preservative.
- Materials are provided but guests can bring their own paper and fiber materials.

TONER PHOTO TRANSFERS: Taking black and white toner photocopies and transferring the images onto a wax surface with only a spoon and water.
- Bird, tree, and other simple silhouette images will be provided.
- Guests may bring their own toner photocopies (not inkjet copies).
- High contrast images work best.

CAVO-RILIEVO LEAF PRINTS: The process of making leaf impressions in warm beeswax with fresh plant leaves and rubbing oil pastels in leaf vein impressions. Cavo-Rilievo: meaning Hollow Relief in Italian.
- Leaves are supplied but guests can bring their own fresh leaves to work with.
- Dry and brittle leaves will not work for this process. Hardy leaves with thick veins that can lay flat work best for this process. Examples: maple, cedar, oak, coleus, and ginkgo leaves work great. No succulent leaves.
- 3 Hours ▪ All supplies included ▪ $75 ▪ 10 guest limit
